October Happenings

Hey, there!

Hope this finds you well….

As if life isn’t fun enough, we’re writing to highlight some music related events for your enjoyment! You may notice that I’ve limited my event listings to music; that’s because there are so many events and many email lists. Because of not wanting to bombard you with too much info, I have decided to highlight music (So logical coming from a musician, right?)

I had a gig on Saturday, October 8th, and had to miss the AWESOME Garden Dinner featuring the very talented Steve Edwards. Heard it was wonderful. We have so much talent in our area it’s staggering!

1. Friday, October 14th, Yarnell Family Diner, Walt Eckes plays from 5pm – 8pm

2. Friday, October 14th, Elks Lodge 2160, Wickenburg, Dinner and Music by Me from 5:30 – 8:30pm

3. Saturday, October 15th – The Yarnell Fire Auxiliary hosts a Wine Tasting, Cheese and Jazz Event at the Yarnell Fire Station, 4pm – 6pm. I have been working up some really cool jazz for your enjoyment. This is a fundraiser for the Fire Auxiliary, benefiting their Firefighter Life Safety Project. $15 per person or $25 per couple includes up to 2 full glasses of wine in a Bistro Setting. Advance Tickets available at the Fire Administration Building or at the door.

4. Friday, October 21st – Third Friday Birthday Night!! Yarnell Family Diner, 5pm – 6pm. Dessert is free if you were born in October. I’ll be playing and we’ll do Trivia. ALSO, we have fine tuned our sound system to be much friendlier at the Diner, since the place has an echo. If you’ve avoided attending because of high volume, come check it out now. We think you’ll be pleased!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO:
Sharon Ball – Oct. 2nd
Kathleen Stowe – Oct. 9th
June Simmons – Oct. 10th
Julia Dockery – Oct. 10th
Donna Gordon

5. Saturday, October 22nd – “Cool October Nights” Wickenburg Country Club. I will playing at the Country Club from 6pm – 9pm, Ringo’s Restaurant. Open to the public, and we’ll give you more details when we receive them!

6. For more events and information, you have many options. Contact Leah Tidey at mail2leahtidey@gmail.com to be put on her list. There are also several Facebook pages – do a search for Yarnell and get the entire scoop.
